Cody McCormick

Cody McCormick ( born April 18, 1983 in London, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since March 2014 at the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Cody McCormick has been selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2001 in the fifth round at 144th overall position of the Colorado Avalanche. His first NHL game he played but only in the season 2003/04. In the following season 2004 /05 he played due to the lockout the entire season on the farm team of the avalanche, the Lake Erie Monsters in the American Hockey League. In the season 2006/ 07 he did not sit down by the NHL roster, which is why he came into use almost the entire season with the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.

His performances have stabilized since then and Cody McCormick was an integral part of the team of the Colorado Avalanche. On 15 July 2008, his contract was extended for another year. In the summer of 2009, the management of the avalanche but not extended the contract, whereupon the striker early August as a free agent signed a contract with the Buffalo Sabres. The season 2009/10 he spent completely during the regular season at Buffalo Farm Team Portland Pirates in the AHL and NHL team arrived in Buffalo in three play-off games available for use. In the season 2010/11 McCormick established as a regular player the Sabres and presented with 20 scorer points in 81 NHL games Karrierebestmarken completed in two categories.

On March 5, 2014 Cody McCormick was given together with Matt Moulson of the Minnesota Wild, in return, received the Sabres Torrey Mitchell as well as one second-round draft pick in 2014 and 2016.
