Country Club is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Miami -Dade County in the U.S. state of Florida with 47 105 inhabitants ( 2010).

Geography

Country Club is located about 20 km north of Miami and is bordered by the cities of Miramar ( Broward ), Miami Gardens, Miami Lakes, as well as to the CDP Palm Springs North.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 47 105 inhabitants distributed to 17,754 households. The population density was 4205.8 inh. / Km ². 77.4 % of the population were white, 13.3% African American, 0.1% Native American and 1.9 % Asian Americans. 4.9% were members of other ethnic groups and 2.4% in different ethnic groups. 78.8 % of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 18.8 % of all households lived in 45.3 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 76.9 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 2.90 persons and the average family size is 3.23 people.

27.8 % of the population were younger than 20 years, 32.9 % were 20-39 years old, 26.7 % were 40-59 years old and 12.6 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 34 years. 46.4 % of the population were male and 53.6 % female.

The average annual income was $ 49,764, while 15.5 % of the population lived below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 30.74 % of the population spoke Spanish 64.02 % and 5.24% had a different mother tongue.

The CDP is traversed or affected by the Florida State Roads 823, 826 ( Palmetto Expressway) and 860. The nearest airports are Opa- locka Executive Airport the (national, 2 km away) and Miami International Airport ( 18 km).
