Cuglieri

Cuglieri is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2756 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Oristano in Sardinia. The municipality is situated approximately 31 kilometers north of Oristano on the Monte Ferru.

History

As one of the most important archaeological sites in the municipal area is already on a prehistoric settlement. It involves the Punic settlement Cornus, which has produced with Hampsicora a Carthaginian leader who led the revolt against Rome around 215 BC.

Traffic

Through the community, Main Road 292 North Occidentale Sarda leads from Oristano towards Alghero.
