Simaxis

Simaxis is a municipality in the province of Oristano in the region of Sardinia in Italy with 371 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012). The community is located 16 km northeast of the provincial capital of Oristano and 90 km northwest of Cagliari.

The neighboring municipalities are Ollastra, Oristano, Siamanna, Siapiccia, Solarussa and Zerfaliu.

In Simaxis Carnival is celebrated. The patron of the place is San Simaco Papa, the feast is celebrated on July 19th of each year.
