Laconi

Laconi is a town on the Italian island of Sardinia with 1975 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). The village is called "Village of standing stones " and is located in the woodlands of Sarcidano in the province of Oristano, 555 m above sea level, at the meeting point of the roads SS128 and SS442. It is the seat of the Catalan noble family originally Aymerich, the Castello ( in ruins ), Park and Palace are next to the museum to the attractions of the place.

The Saint Ignatius of Laconi, born December 17, 1701 in Laconi, the local church is dedicated. He served until his death as a humble beggar died, almost blind, revered by the people who put him a monument.

In the Museo delle statue menhirs are 40 Copper Age exhibited in part by the giants grave Aiòdda, partly from Nurallao and the environment originating Statuenmenhire the Ozieri culture trachyte.
