Frédéric Guesdon

Frédéric Guesdon ( born October 14, 1971 in Saint- Méen -le- Grand in Brittany ) is a former French cyclist.

Career

Frédéric Guesdon began his professional career in 1995 when cycling team Le Groupement and 1996, he joined the Italian team Polti and a year later the French team La Française des Jeux, where he continued until the end of his career.

His first professional success he celebrated in 1997 with the victory in the one-day races Classic Haribo. A little later, he achieved his greatest triumph to date his career. He won the Paris-Roubaix classic in the sprint of a leading group in inter alia Jo Planckaert, Johan Museeuw and Frédéric Moncassin drove. In the years 2000 and 2002 he won two stages in the Dauphiné Libéré. Another classic win was Guesdon, when he a larger breakaway autumn classic Paris -Tours sprint against Kurt Asle Arvesen, could decide for itself as one of the last two remaining ones.

On April 8, 2012 Guesdon ended after Paris -Roubaix his career and drove in his seventeenth and last race as 88th with 18:52 Minten behind the winner over the finish line, but was not classified for exceeding the time limit. Guesdon took eight times during his career at the Tour de France in part and only once did not reach the target.
