Greece at the 1896 Summer Olympics

The Kingdom of Greece took part in the 1896 Summer Olympics in Athens as part of the host country with 169 athletes and thus with most athletes. The Greeks competed in nine disciplines.

In the one-handed discipline the weightlifters had successfully lift weights in each hand. Nikolopoulos was able to lift with one hand 57 kg, abolished with the other but only 40 kg. Therefore, he was listed as a third party.
