Großenwörden

Großenwörden ( Low German Grootwöörn ) is a municipality in the district of Stade in Lower Saxony. The community belongs to the Samtgemeinde Oldendorf - gates of heaven, which has its headquarters in the town gates of heaven.

Coat of arms

Blazon: "In green with a silver bow wave decreased; top of a silver half-timbered house with a silver front gable and red infill; fan shape below a silver alder branch with two cones right and left a sheet. "

The municipal coat of arms, designed in the spring of 2001 by the Bremen heraldist Horst Scheffler pointed to pointed green ground by vernacular Lower House with red infilling and silver timber and a silver bow wave, which symbolizes the Großenwördener Ostebogen. An alder branch points to the alders that line the drainage ditches in Großenwörden.
