Guido De Rosso

Guido De Rosso ( born September 28, 1940 in Farra di Soligo ) is an Italian former racing cyclist.

1961 Guido De Rosso won the Tour de l' Avenir. The following year he turned professional and one of the strongest Italian cyclist of the 1960s. In 1962 he won the Tour de Romandie, the following year at the Giro del Trentino. In 1963, he was seventh in the Tour of Lombardy. In 1964 he became Italian champion in the road race; 1964 and 1965 he won the Gran Premio Trofeo Matteotti and Beghelli and the 1964 Coppa Placci. In 1966 he was ranked twelve in Milan Sanremo, ranked 14th in Paris -Roubaix and 16th place at Liege -Bastogne- Liege. In 1967, he decided the Piedmont Tour for themselves.

Six times started De Rosso at the Giro d' Italia 1963, he was fourth overall, in 1964 a third party. At the Tour de France in 1965, he finished seventh. Three times he also started at UCI Road World Championships. 1969 ended Guido De Rosso his cycling career, after he had gone two seasons without success in the Faema team with Eddy Merckx.
