Herrnhütte (Nuremberg U-Bahn)
Metro Station Herrnhütte (abbreviation: HH) is the 35th Metro Station of the Nuremberg U- Bahn and was opened on 27 January 1996. It is 835 meters from the East Railway Station Metro Station and 945 meters from the subway station brick removed. At the railway station towards Röthenbach includes a parking and reversing facility to Metro Station Nordostbahnhof. Until 27 November 1999, he was the terminus for the U2 line.
The Nuremberg district Herrnhütte was first mentioned in 1554 and is named after the local brick huts. Herrnhütte belonged since 1818 to the municipality of brick, which was eventually incorporated in 1920 to Nuremberg.
Location
The station is located in the district of Nuremberg Herrnhütte and extends below the ground in north-south direction under the Bessemer and exterior Bayreuther Straße. Of the three wells of the southern platform and the mean lead directly to the surface to Bessemer road and the bus stop Herrnhütte. The northern, leading into a manifold of levels and from there to the north and south sides of the Outer Bayreuther Straße. The elevator connects the platform level with the street level and the parking deck of the park-and -ride car park.
Building and Architecture
The station building is 263 m long, 15 m wide and 10 m deep ( one and a half times the down position). The construction work began on 1 June 1992 for it and were carried out in an open design with Berlin wall. The road outside the Bayreuther Straße was carried away during the construction of a temporary bridge over the pit. For the commuters from the catchment area of the federal highway 2, a park-and -ride car park with 500 parking spaces south of the station was built.
The architecture of the station is based on the resident in Herrnhütte 1554-1794 Ziegelhuette the imperial city of Nuremberg. The platform walls are covered with mirrors and tile surfaces that pick up the vehicle dynamics by increasing and decreasing areas.
Lines
The station is serviced by the underground lines U2 and U21. At the bus stop Herrnhütte keep the city bus lines 22 and 23 and the OVF line 212 runs at the weekend and the night bus N1.
