Heuvelland is a Belgian municipality located in the Flemish region with 7940 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012). She has no real center but consists of the eight districts of Kemmel ( the Town Hall), Wijtschate ({ also Wijtschaete or Wytschaete } of both the population and in area 's largest district ) and De Klijte, Dranouter, Loker, Nieuwkerke West Outer and Wulvergem.

Location

The municipality is located in southern West Flanders, bordering France.

The 159 -meter-high Mount Kemmel is the highest point both in the community and in the West Flanders.

Ypres is located nine kilometers north-east, the large French city of Lille, 22 km south-east, Kortrijk 30 kilometers east, Bruges 55 km north-northeast, Gent 68 km north-east of Brussels and good 107 kilometers east (all figures in a straight line from Kemmel to the respective city centers).

Infrastructure

The next highway exits are located at Ypres and Beselare on the A19 and at the French congregation Bailleul on the A25 / E 42

In Ypres Comines Comines - and Kortrijk are the next regional stations and in Lille, Bruges and Ghent keep on regional express trains.

In Lille there is a regional airport near the capital Brussels there is an international airport.
