Hoppegarten

Hoppe Garden is a municipality and in the western part of the Mark- or country in Brandenburg. It was created only for October 26, 2003 by the merger of the three municipalities legally possessed Dahl Joke Hoppe Garden, Honow and Muenchehofe. The office created in 1992 Hoppe garden to manage the three communities was dissolved at the same time. The word Hoppe Garden is derived from hops.

Geography

The municipality is divided in two by an outstanding east " spur " of the Berlin district of Marzahn- Heller village; in the north of the district Honow, in the south the districts Dahl Joke Hoppe garden and Muenchehofe. The municipality is bordered to the northwest and north by the municipality and Ahrensfelde, on the east by the official free city Altlandsberg and to the municipality and New Hagen at Berlin, on the southeast by Schoneiche, to the south by the Berlin district of Treptow -Köpenick and to the west by the Marzahn- Hellersdorf (Berlin).

As well as the living quarters Heidemühle, Honow village, Honow North, South Honow, Mönchsheim and Ravenstein

History

The history of the community Hoppe garden is in the ground until 2003, the history of originally four, later three formerly independent municipalities and other smaller settlements (now parts of municipalities and residential places).

Office Hoppe Garden

To manage the many z.T. very small municipalities was introduced in the administrative offices in Brandenburg in 1992. On 11 September 1992, the Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg gave its approval for the formation of the Office Hoppe garden. As the time of conclusion of the Office September 15, 1992 has been set. The agreement was initially limited to 15 September 1994. The office was located in the municipality Dahl Joke Hoppe garden and initially consisted of three communities in the then district Strausberg

The time limit was repealed with effect from 25 August 1994. October 26, 2003, the three official member municipalities were merged by law to the new community garden Hoppe. The Office Hoppe garden was dissolved and the community Hoppe Garden Office free. The former municipalities Dahl Joke Hoppe garden and Honow sued unsuccessfully against the " coalition of the top" before the country's Constitutional Court; the complaints were rejected.

Municipal council

The municipal council of the municipality consists of 28 community representatives and community representatives as well as the full-time mayor. The local elections 28 September 2008 produced the following distribution of seats:

  • Alliance 90/The Greens: 1 seat
  • Citizens Committee: 1 seat
  • CDU Dahl Joke Hoppe Garden: 2 seats

  • United Citizens Movement Hoppe Garden: 1 seat

Head of the municipal council is Kay Juschka ( CDU).

On 8 July 2010 were three of the CDU representatives as well as representatives of the initiative group of homeowners and the settler community birch stone which had formed with the CDU a fraction Community, from the fraction and form since the new five-member group Alliance for Hoppe garden.

The full-time mayor Karsten Knobbe (The Left ) was elected in a runoff election on September 25, with 53.23 % of votes. Already during the election campaign Karsten Knobbe went offensive with his past as informer for the Ministry of State Security of the GDR in order by publishing excerpts from documents and his own view on this activity on its website. On October 25, 2013, the Ethics Commission of the community rated him as " unloaded ".

The coat of arms was approved on 3 July 2006.

Blazon: " split half and divided in the spine section of green, silver and blue; Field 1: an open top silver horseshoe, field 2: a green hop cone with stalk and leaf and box 3. Diagonally left a silver turtle "

Hoppe Garden maintains partnership relations with the communities Iffezheim in Baden -Württemberg and Rzepin in Poland.

Sports

The district Dahl Joke Hoppe garden was known by some existing since 1868 racecourse Hoppe Garden ( equestrian ).

In 1976 the shooter Norbert Klaar and 1980, the judoka Dietmar Lorenz an Olympic gold medal. Both competed for the SC Dynamo Hoppe garden.

Economy and infrastructure

Hoppe Garden is located at the Prussian Eastern Railway and has two railway stations ( birch stone and Hoppe Garden (Mark) ) on line 5 of the Berlin S-Bahn. Previously, Hoppe garden was also on the train line Hoppe Garden Altlandsberg.

In addition, Hoppe Garden is served by several bus routes to the surrounding countryside.

Authorities

Hoppe Garden is home to a branch of the federal archives, are stored in the part of the Federal Film Archive. Furthermore, a branch of the social security of Agriculture, Forestry and Horticulture is ( SVLFG ).
