James David Santini

James David Santini ( born August 13, 1937 in Reno, Nevada ) is a former American politician. Between 1975 and 1983 he represented the state of Nevada in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Early years

James Santini attended until 1955 the Manogue High School in Reno. Then he studied until 1959 at the University of Nevada; it was followed by a law degree from Hastings College in San Francisco. After his 1962 was admitted as a lawyer, he began his new career in Las Vegas exercise. Between 1963 and 1966, Santini was in the U.S. Army and from 1966 to 1968 he was deputy district attorney in Clark County. The following two years he worked as a public defender and 1970-1972 he was a justice of the peace in Las Vegas. After that, he was until 1974 the district judge in Clark County.

Political career

James Santini was a member of the Democratic Party. In 1974 he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, where he replaced David Towell on January 3, 1975.
