Joe Heck

Joseph John "Joe" Heck ( born October 30, 1961 in New York City ) is an American politician. Since 2011 he represents the state of Nevada in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Joe Heck grew up in Pennsylvania. He studied until 1984 at the Pennsylvania State University and then to 1988 at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was trained as a specialist in osteopathy. In the following years he worked in this profession and in research. By 2011, he also ran his own company. He belongs to several medical schools. Since 1991 he is also a member of the United States Army Reserve. In 2006 he graduated from the Army War College in Carlisle. He has his main residence in Henderson. Politically, he was a member of the Republican Party. Between 2004 and 2008 he sat in the Senate from Nevada.

In the congressional elections of 2010, stern in the third electoral district of Nevada was in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of him previously defeated Democrat Dina Titus on January 3, 2011. He is a member of the Armed Services Committee, the Committee on Education and Labor and the Intelligence Committee and in four sub-committees. He also belongs to the Republican Steering Committee.
