Johnny Oduya
David Johnny Oduya ( born October 1, 1981 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is since February 2012 for the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League contract.
Career
Oduya is the son of a Swedish mother, his father is from Kenya. The 1.80 m wide defender played in his youth for the Swedish club Hammarby IF, for their first team, he also first in the third division was in the 1999/00 season on the ice. In addition, the teams exchanged also their electoral rights in the second round of the same draft.
On 27 February 2012 the Winnipeg Jets gave him off in exchange for a second-round vote in the NHL Entry Draft in 2013 and a third-round vote in the NHL Entry Draft in 2013 to the Chicago Blackhawks.
His six years older brother Fredrik Oduya was selected at the NHL Entry Draft in 1993 by the San Jose Sharks, but never made the jump to the NHL.
