Krzysztof Kwiatkowski

Krzysztof Kwiatkowski ( born May 14, 1971 in Zgierz ) is a Polish politician, Platforma Obywatelska ( Civic Platform ) and was from October 2009 to November 2011 Justice Minister in the Cabinet Tusk I.

Life

Kwiatkowski began the study of Law and Administration at the University of Łódź. For two years, he had to interrupt his studies because he was suffering from cancer. After surgery and chemotherapy, he graduated in 2001 from the University of Warsaw. 1994 to 1998 he was on the city council of Zgierz and from 1998 to 2002, the district council of Powiats Zgierski. At the same time, he worked from 1997 to 2001 in the office of the Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek and his personal secretary. In 2002 he worked at the private university academia Polonijna in Częstochowa before he was in the same year as Deputy Mayor of Zgierz and when he worked until 2006. His duties in Zgierz he interrupted in 2004 for the election campaign Buzek for the European elections in 2004. Krzysztof Kwiatkowski 2006 to 2007 worked as Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of the Łódź Voivodeship. In the early parliamentary elections in 2007 Kwiatkowski was achieved with 164 151 votes in the constituency of Łódź entry into the Polish Senate. In February 2009 he was appointed Deputy Minister of Justice. On 13 October 2009 was appointed Minister of Justice, after his predecessor Andrzej Czuma had been dismissed because of a gambling affair Krzysztof Kwiatkowski of Donald Tusk. In the 2011 parliamentary elections, he was elected to the Sejm and resigned from the government.

Krzysztof Kwiatkowski is married and has two children.
