Laßnitzthal is a municipality with 1095 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Styria. From 1 January 2015 it is affiliated under the Styrian municipality structural reform with the communities Labuch, railway village, Nitscha and Ungerdorf, the new community will continue to use the name " track village".

Geography

Laßnitzthal is located in the district of Weiz in the Austrian province of Styria.

The municipality comprises the cadastral Unterlassnitz.

History

The local church as an autonomous corporation was established in 1850. 1873 was the opening of the Styrian village of Jenner Eastern Railway to Graz with a stop in Laßnitzthal. After the annexation of Austria in 1938, the community came to Reichsgau Styria, 1945-1955, she was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.

In the parish exists with the FCL (Football Club Laßnitzthal ) a football club.

Traffic

The Laßnitzthal station is located on the Styrian Eastern Railway. By December 2010, the current single-track station was converted into a two-pronged alternative station, but the station building will be demolished.
