Lesná (Pelhřimov District)

Lesná ( German Lesna ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 15 kilometers northwest of Pelhřimov and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Lesná is located at the southeast of the Strážiště (744 m) in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. The place is located in the source dump of a left tributary of the Trnavka. In the west, the remains of the castle are Smolín ( unlucky castle ).

Neighboring towns are Babice in the north, Dobroměřice in the northeast, Kyjov and Hořepník in the east, Horni Dvůr and Brezina in the southeast, Samšín in the south, Velka Chyska the southwest, Bratřice in the west and Útěchovice pod Stražištěm in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Lesná place in the year 1299th The city was founded by the Hungarian settlers in the second half of the 13th century, was originally located west of the present village in the Pech castle, to which he also belonged. The castle lies desolate since 1578. To the parish was the village since the 17th century after Hořepník.

After the replacement of patrimonial Lesná was a separate municipality, was one of the up in the second half of the 20th century, the district Kyjov ( Kühhof ), which is part of Buřenice today. In 1967 Lesná was incorporated into Velka Chyska, since 1990 it is again independent.
