Maurice Desimpelaere

Frederic Maurice Desimpelaere ( born May 28, 1920 in Ledegem, † 30 January, 2005 Wevelgem ) was a Belgian racing cyclist.

Maurice Desimpelaere was professional racing drivers of 1942 until 1950. 1944 he won Paris -Roubaix, the following year he was fifth. In 1945 he was runner up in the inaugural tournament of Omloop Het Volk. In 1946 he won Across Flanders and Gent- Wevelgem 1947, the race in which he had previously finished second in the year. In 1947 he finished the Walloon Arrow second place. In 1949, he was ninth in Milan - Sanremo, respectively, as well as the Tour of Flanders.
