Geography

Meissen home is situated in the Upper Rhine Valley on the Rhine, and thus on the German- French border, approximately 13 miles from Lahr.

Neighboring communities

The municipality is bordered to the north by Neuried, to the east frieze home and the city of Lahr, in the south of Schwanau and to the west by the Alsatian community Gerst home.

History

In 1267 Meissen home was first mentioned.
