Mezilesí (Pelhřimov District)

Mezilesí ( German Mesoles ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 19 km south of Vlašim and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Mezilesí is located on a ridge between the valleys of the Huťský creek and Vočadlo in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. To the east rises the Hřeben ( 685 m ) behind the Strážiště (744 m).

Neighboring towns are Velka Ves in the north, Zelena Ves Ves Týmova Lukavec and in the Northeast, Salacova Lhota in the southeast, Velka Cerna and Těchobuz in the south, and Talmberk Velky Ježov the southwest, Maly Ježov in the west and Holýšov in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Mezilesí dates from 1352.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the villages Mezilesí Holýšov ( Holejschow ) Mezilesí ( Mesoles ) and Zelena Ves (Green Village ).
