Mladé Bříště

Mlade Bříště ( German Jung Briescht ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers south of Humpolec and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Mlade Bříště located in the Křemešnická Highlands, part Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. The village is situated on the northern edge of the forest Rousínovský les to a right tributary of the Jankovský creek. North-east rises the Vlčí Mountains (608 m), in the southeastern Soví Hat ( 619 m) ​​and in the south of Rousínov ( 599 m).

History

The village was probably founded after 1149 by the Premonstratensian order. The first mention of the monastery Seelau associated village on May 8, 1226 a bull of Pope Honorius III. , In the monastic ownership is confirmed.
