Montechiaro d'Acqui

Montechiaro d' Acqui ( Monciar Piedmontese ) is a municipality with 567 (as of 31 December 2012) a population of Alessandria in the Italian province (AL ), Region Piedmont. Neighboring municipalities are Cartosio, Castelletto d' Erro, Denice, Malvicino, Mombaldone, Ponti and Spigno Monferrato. The patron saint of the place is San Giorgio di Lydda.

The village lies at an altitude of 540 m above sea level. The municipality covers an area of 17 km ².

Specialty

In Montechiaro d' Acqui vines of Dolcetto Dolcetto d' Acqui for a red wine are grown with DOC status. The berries of the grape varieties Pinot Noir and / or Chardonnay may be processed for sparkling wine Alta Langa. The variety Barbera finds its way into the Barbera del Monferrato.
