Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima District

Amphoe Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima ( Thai อำเภอ เมือง นครราชสีมา ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the south of Nakhon Ratchasima. The Nakhon Ratchasima province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the Isaan. The capital of the province of Nakhon Ratchasima is also called Nakhon Ratchasima.

Geography

The district Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima lies on a plain at the western edge of Isaan, the so-called Khorat Plateau. The distance to the capital Bangkok is about 260 kilometers.

Amphoe Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima borders on the following districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Non Thai in the, Non Sung, Chaloem Phra Kiat, Chok Chai, Pak Thong Chai, Sung Noen Kham Thale So and all are in Amphoe of Nakhon Ratchasima.

In Amphoe Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima, the Suranaree University of Technology and the Rajabhat University Nakhon Ratchasima, and the main campus of Rajamangala University of Technology Isan are.

Management

Amphoe Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima is divided into 25 tambon ( communes), they are then divided into 234 villages ( Muban ).
