Mysletín

Mysletín ( German Misletin ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers south of Humpolec and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Mysletín located in the Křemešnická Highlands, part of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. The village is located on the right side above the valley of Jankovský creek in the source dump of a small tributary. To the north rises the Soví Hat ( 619 m ) in the east of Bojanovský ( 665 m), southeast of the Opálená ( 652 m) and west of the Čihadlo (613 m). To the northeast lies the Stauweiher Vilímek. Near the village there are several mills and wilderness farms. The running west of Mysletín Jankovský creek is protected because of its Flussperlmuschelpopulation since 1992 as a national natural monument.

Neighboring towns are Staré Bříště and Krasoňov in the north, Ústí in the east, and Buková Dudín the southeast, Polánky, Vyskytná and Petrkov in the south, and Zachotín Pazderny the southwest, Vlčinec in the west and Zálesí, Mladé Bříště and Hojkovy in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village dates from the year 1226.

After the replacement of patrimonial Mysletín in 1850 an independent village in the district team Německý Brod. 1910 came the municipality to the district Humpolec and since 1961 it belongs to the Okres Pelhřimov. In 1976, the annexation to Zachotín and on 1 July 1980 after Mladé Bříště. Since 1990 Mysletín is self again.
