Nong Saeng District, Udon Thani

Amphoe Nong Saeng ( Thai: อำเภอ หนอง แสง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Udon Thani. The Udon Thani Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighboring districts are (from west clockwise): Amphoe Nong Wua So the, Mueang Udon Thani, Kumphawapi and Non Sa -at in the province of Udon Thani, and Amphoe Khao Suan Kwang Province Khon Kaen.

History

The area of present-day district Nong Saeng was originally part of Amphoe Kumphawapi. On January 1, 1981, was made the sub-district ( King Amphoe ), which consisted at that time of two tambon and 27 villages. The administration building was opened on 1 January 1983 in the "Village 3" of Tambon Nong Saeng.

Administrative units

Amphoe Nong Saeng 's ( tambon) divided into four municipalities, which in turn in 38 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are four small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Saeng Sawang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล แสงสว่าง ), consisting of parts of the Tambon Saeng Sawang
  • Tho Saeng Sawang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ทอ แสงสว่าง ), consisting of other parts of the Tambon Saeng Sawang
  • Na Di ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นาดี ), consisting of the whole tambon Na Di
  • Nong Saeng ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล แสงสว่าง ), consisting of the whole tambon Nong Saeng.

There is also a Tambon Administration Organization ( " Tambon Administrative Organization" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
