Oost -Cappel ( Dutch: Oostkappel ) is a commune near Dunkirk with 522 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Nord, in the Nord -Pas -de -Calais.

The eastern boundary of the municipality is at the same time represents the border with Belgium
