Petr Tatíček

Petr Taticek ( born September 22, 1983 in Rakovníka, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech ice hockey player standing since 2013 when HC Lev Prague in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Petr Taticek began his playing career at the Czech first division team Poldi Kladno, where his father, Petr Taticek senior, worked as an assistant coach. Petr Taticek junior played in the late 1990s in the U18 - U20 boys team and the club, before he made his debut in the Czech Extraliga during the season 1999/2000. In the summer of 2001, he moved to North America to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League to improve his chances of an early draft placement. Due to the shown performances (more than a point per game scorer in the 2001/ 02 season), he was selected in the first round of the NHL Entry Draft in 2002 to ninth place from the Florida Panthers. But he remained a year in the OHL before he played between 2003 and 2006 at various farm teams of the Panthers. In the season 2005/ 06 he made his debut in the National Hockey League with the Panthers, but was sent back to the Houston Aeros after three NHL games. Later, the NHL rights to Petr Taticek changed hands, so that he played the game time at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to an end.

About the Hershey Bears and his hometown club HC Kladno he came in December 2006 for HC Davos, where he played until 2013. 2007, 2009 and 2011, he was with Swiss Davos champion.
