Philippines men's national basketball team
The Philippine National Basketball Team of Men is one of the most successful Asian teams in international tournaments. One of the greatest successes include a third place finish at the FIBA World Championship in 1954 in Rio de Janeiro, in the third place match, France was defeated by 66:60. The best result at the Olympic Games was a fifth place in Berlin in 1936. The basketball team won the Asian Cup five times, most recently in 1986.
The team that is nicknamed "Team Philipinas " occurs in blue and white jerseys and thus in the national colors (except red).
