Pokojov

Pokojov ( German Pokojow, also Pokojau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located ten kilometers south of Zdar nad Sázavou and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Pokojov located creek on a ridge between the valleys of Rendlíčkový and Bohdalovský creek in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. To the northeast lies the pond Rendlíček and on the southern outskirts of the Most. In the southwest of the V Kopečku collected ( 663 m).

Neighboring towns are Nove Veseli in the north, Březí nad Oslavou and Kotlasy in the northeast, Ostrov nad Oslavou in the east, Radostín nad Oslavou and Znětínek the southeast, Pavlov and Stary Telečkov in the south, the west and Bohdalov Újezd ​​in the northwest.

History

The village was probably built at the same time as Kotlasy which is detectable since 1349. It is believed that at this time the border dispute between John of Tasov and the monastery mentioned Saar village Bukaw is the origin of the present-day village. As of 1353 Adam KONICE in accordance with the last will of John of Tasovs Kotlasy the monastery gave, the Order was also the desert village Bukaw under the proviso of re-colonization. The first written mention of Pokoj took place in 1437 in the wake of an allegation of the pike Rossitz against Wenzel and George of Krawarn on Meziříčí because mastery of several the Cistercian monastery Saar associated villages. 1447 called for the Saarer abbot John several times by Jan of Lomnice on Meziříčí the duties of a Pokoj. Success was finally filed a new lawsuit in 1481. 1483 Pokoj was listed in the land register of the monastery Saar with an open court, 14 peasant farms, a mill and two desert district of Huben. In 1494 Pokoj was awarded the monastery court.

After the abolition of patrimonial Pokojov formed in 1850 a municipality in the administrative district of Nove Mesto. 1930 was the site of 30 houses and 148 inhabitants had. Since 1949, the community is part of the Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.
