Javorek, Czech Republic

Javorek ( German Jaworek ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located ten kilometers south-west of Polička and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Javorek is located in the southeast of the Saarer mountains on a left tributary of the Fryšávka. To the north rises the current ( 771 m), to the east the Prosíčka ( 739 m), southwest of the Rabuňka (722 m) and in the northwest of Buchtův Kopec (813 m).

Neighboring towns are Spělkov, U Benešů and Kutiny in the north, Borovnice in the northeast, Doly, V Bombaji and Sedliště in the east, Luž and Jimramov the southeast, Nový Jimramov and Nové Jimramovské Paseky in the south, Hamr, Líšná and Jimramovské Paseky the southwest, Sněžné and Daňkovice in the west and Krasne in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village was in 1364, when Henry of Petrin and Javorek sold the place, including the associated forest on Archleb of Stařechovice and Kunstat. This since 1361 already had a share of Jimramov when he bought in 1365 the other part of Jimram of Pernštejna. At this time he was lying on the south of the village on the hilltop Fryšávkatal 1356 by Margrave Johann Heinrich torn down along with Toll stone and rock castle Rabenstein Starkov build again. Since 1372 the existence of a judge in Javorek is detectable. The castle was built after the Hussite Wars, the seat of the Robber Baron Jan von Břežany so that the Moravian estates were bought up and grind the castle. 1464 bought John Elder Pernštejna of the rule Ingrowitz including the desert castle Starkov. In the division of the reign Pernštejna Javorek came in 1500 to Nove Mesto - Ingrowitzer share and from 1564 to 1848 the village was part of the rule Ingrowitz. 1809 burned the Erbgericht. In 1814, the mining began on iron ore. The iron shafts Kristina and Michal were operated until 1872 and abandoned during the iron crisis. In 1831, a cholera epidemic broke out. North of Javorek was a cholera cemetery in the path forks after Borovnice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Javůrek formed in 1850 a municipality in the administrative district of Nove Mesto. Since the end of the 19th century, the church bears the name Javorek. 1949 Javorek was assigned to the Okres Polička. Since 1961, the community is part of the Okres Zdar nad Sázavou. In 1976, the annexation to Jimramov. Since 1990, the community is Javorek again.
