However, he was caught smoking marijuana and domestic violence against his girlfriend, so although he was considered a talented but questionable in character.

Right away he established himself as one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, by 1,317 yards space gain erfing in his first season, scored the league record of 17 touchdowns, was elected to the Pro Bowl and the NFL Rookie of the Year Award ( Offense ). The team led by quarterback Randall Cunningham (who replaced the injured Brad Johnson ) has won 15 of his 16 season games and failed after extra time in the NFC finals at the Atlanta Falcons.

In the following five years, Moss managed always more than 1,000 yards and space gain was twice (2000 and 2003 ) with 15 and 17 touchdowns the most successful wide receivers the NFL. However, Moss also caused controversy in which he, inter alia, Referees bepöbelte, jostled or splashed with water, opponents and fans mocked and 2005, the opponents fans taunted against the Green Bay Packers after a touchdown by doing so, as he would pull down his pants in front of them. In addition, he admitted, " not always give everything ", and was occasionally booed by his own fans. Later it was a feud against New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis, who called him " lazy " (English: slouch ) mocked.

In March 2005, Moss was traded to the Oakland Raiders after his productivity had waned and he made scandals for attention. In Oakland, he was unable to repeat his achievements, and in 2007 he moved to the New England Patriots, where he played his strongest season. He harmonized with quarterback Tom Brady and broke with 23 touchdowns in a season record of Jerry Rice for wide receiver. With the Patriots, he won 18 games in a row and managed again to jump to the Pro Bowl before the team from Foxborough in Super Bowl XLII was defeated by the underdog New York Giants 14-17. Moss scored the touchdown for interim 14-10 seconds before the end and missed just a long throw from Brady. 2008 and 2009 Moss scored 1,008 or 1,264 yards extra space for eleven and 13 touchdowns, but the Patriots have consistently failed due to the play -offs. 2010 Moss was retired from coach Bill Belichick: he was traded to the Minnesota Vikings (and a seventh- round draft pick in 2012 ) for a third-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft again on October 6, 2010.

After his re- kicking after a few games when he complained loudly about the supposed " dehumanizing " quality of the team's interest, he was picked up by the Tennessee Titans. The Titans were the only team that Moss wanted to record. For the Titans, he completed this season still eight games.
