René Kos

René Kos ( born October 17, 1955 in Langedijk ) is a former Dutch track cyclists and motor-paced world champion.

In 1980, René Kos second in the Stayers World Championships in Besançon and second in the Netherlands stayer championships; his world championship medal he had later, however, return for doping a few weeks. The following year he won in Brno behind Bruno Walrave the world title and was Dutch champion stayer; this national title he won in the following years three more times.

1983 occupied Kos at a stayer World Cup again a second place. He also started at 28 six-day races, his best finish was a third place in 1984 in Buenos Aires with the Belgian Willy De Bosscher.

2002 and 2003 René Kos was coach of the Dutch Junior - road drivers. In addition, he has worked as a race organizer and pacemaker on the Derny.
