Roger Hammond (cyclist)

Roger Edward Hammond ( born January 30, 1974 in Harlington ) is a former British cyclist who was active in cross-country races and road races.

Roger Hammond 1992 Junior World Champion in Cyclocross. Between 1994 and 2008 he was in this discipline eight times British champion.

1998 Hammond got his first contract in Palmans - ideal. He developed into a specialist in one-day races. In 2003 and 2004 he was British champion in the road race for the first time. Also in 2004, he finished third in the Paris- Roubaix, and the road race in the Olympic Games in Athens, he came to seventh place. In 2005 and 2006 he won a stage of the Tour of Britain and, in 2009 a stage of the Tour of Qatar. In 2008, Hammond began at the Olympic Games in the road race, but did not finish.

2012 Hammond ended his cycling career.
