Roman Polák

Roman Polák ( born April 28, 1986 in Ostrava, at that time in Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech ice hockey player standing since 2006 with the St. Louis Blues in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Roman Polák began his career as a hockey player in his Czech homeland in the youth of the HC Sareza Ostrava, where he was active until 2003. He then played for a year in the junior section of the HC Vitkovice Steel, after which he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2004 in the sixth round as the 180th overall by the St. Louis Blues.

First, however, the defender played in the 2004/05 season for the Kootenay Ice in the Canadian top junior Western Hockey League, and later for the HC Vitkovice Steel in the Czech Extraliga before the right-handed shooter in the 2006/07 season be a season long debut in the National Hockey League for the St. Louis Blues were.
