Saucarí is a province in the central part of the Oruro Department in the highlands of South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location

The Saucarí province is one of sixteen provinces in the Oruro Department. It lies between 17 ° 50 'and 18 ° 47' south latitude and between 66 ° 47 ' and 67 ° 17' west longitude.

It is bordered to the north and east by the province of Cercado, on the northwest by the province of Nor Carangas, on the west by the province Carangas, to the south by the province of Sud Carangas, and to the southeast by the provincial Poopó.

The province extends over 40 kilometers from east to west and over 115 kilometers in north-south direction.

83 percent of the population is Catholic, 14 percent are Protestant (1992).
