Syangja District

The district Syangya ( nepali: स्याङ्जा जिल्ला ), is one of 75 districts in Nepal. It lies with its main town, Putalibazar in the Gandaki Zone.
Geography
The 1164 km ² large district located in the center of Nepal in the foothills of the Himalayas. His district neighbors to the north: Kaski, in the East: Tanahu, Palpa in the south and in the west: Gulmi and Parbat. With the Kali Gandaki and Seti Khola crossing two major rivers of the district.
Population

Infrastructure

Electricity
The largest hydropower project in Nepal is located Syangja district. The Kali Gandaki A hydro power plant in Mirmi near Tansen has a total capacity of 144 megawatts ( 3 Francis turbines with 48 MW). The power station was commissioned in 2002.
Tourism
An attempt is made to expand tourism in the region, especially trekking, rafting and rock climbing.
