Těmice (Pelhřimov District)

Těmice ( German Temnitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers north of Kamenice nad Lipou and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Těmice located in the southwest of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands in the upper reaches of the creek Kamenice. To the east rises the Kopaniny (662 m ) southwest of the Hřeben (658 m ) in the west Včelnice ( 676 m) and Vrchy ( 679 m) and in the northwest of the Bohutín (710 m). North of the village is surrounded by Markwaretzer Forest, to the west, the Hutiner forest and southwest of the center forest connects. North of Těmice is on the road to the deserted village Lidmaň Huhlov.

Neighboring towns are Lidmaň, Lidmaňka and Nový Drahoňov in the north, Drahoňov and Knížata in the northeast, Nová Ves in the east, Babín the southeast, Dráchov, Dvorek and Nová Ves in the south, Bohdalín, Stare Hutě and Benešov in the southwest, Rytov and Stružky in the west and Svatava, Bohutín and Hojava in the northwest.

History

The village was probably founded in the 12th century during the colonization of the Bohemian- Moravian border forests in Kamenice. At the time of Dobeš Bechyně and Kamenice (1312-1359) was the first mention of Temina Kamenice as vicarage. The name is derived from the personal name Temin. After the death Dobeš the owners alternated in rapid succession. Under the influence of Jan Hus, who had lived 1412-1414 Kozi Hradek on, I spread his teachings quickly among the population. 1414 acquired Anna Mochov the rule Kamenice. After the Lords of Mochov was 1436 Henry of Straz owner of Temina KAMENICE in years. Over time, the name of the village changed in Temnice. After the Battle of White Mountain, the population was re-Catholicised. 1780 a village school in the house No. 39 was established. 1815 was a new school building.

After the abolition of patrimonial Temnice / Temnitz formed in 1850 with the establishment Hřeben a municipality in the district team Pelhřimov. After the old school had become too small, they moved into a new larger building in 1887. 1889 lived in 93 houses of Temnice 695 people, of whom 680 Catholics and 15 Jews. 1899 Lokalie Temnice was elevated to parish. The track to the Lidmaň in 1904 expanded to the street. From 1905, the village belonged to the district Kamenice nad Lipou. After the number of students had grown to 225, the school was expanded to four classes in 1908. Due to the Ministerial Order of March 29, 1922 the community name on November 1, 1923, amended in Těmice '#. After the dissolution of Okres Kamenice nad Lipou the community came with the beginning of 1961 back to Okres Pelhřimov. In 1964 the incorporation of Babín with Dráchov and Drahoňov with Knížata and Nový Drahoňov. The primary school in Těmice was disbanded in 1980. 2006, the church was renovated and temporarily deposed the roof structure of the church tower.

Attractions

  • Church of John the Evangelist, since 1359 detectable as Plebanie. In 1620 the church became a branch of the parish Kamenice. Since 1785 she is a Lokalie.
