Teulada, Spain

Teulada is a town on the Costa Blanca in the province of Alicante. The eponymous place is located 5 km from the sea. The municipality also includes the south-east of them overlooking the sea, Moraira.

Of the population in Teulada and Moraira (2008 ) are only 39.63 % Spanish, continue living there Englishman ( 23.25% ), German ( 13.19% ), Swiss, Dutch, French and South Americans, but also Swedes, Norwegians and Finns. Teulada is so that the community with the fifth largest proportion of foreigners in Spain.

Partner communities are Teulada in Italy and Heiligkreuzsteinach in the Odenwald Baden- Wurttemberg.

In the hamlet of Teulada is a rail link with the line L9 of light rail Alicante to Dénia and in the opposite direction to Alicante on Benidorm and El Campello.

Festivals

From the first Sunday after Easter is in Teulada a ten-day celebration held in honor of the patron saint San Vicente Ferrer.

Moraira celebrates its patron saint, the Virgen de los Desamparados ( Virgin of the Forsaken ) and Virgen del Carmen, from 15 July. Another important festival in this part of the municipality are the Moros y Cristianos on the second weekend in June.
