Thomas Holzmann

Thomas Holzmann ( born July 17, 1987 in Buchloe ) is a German professional ice hockey player who is under contract with the Red Bull EHC München in the German Ice Hockey League since 2013.

Career

Holzmann began his career in the young ESV Kaufbeuren, with their junior team played, among others, in the junior league. In the 2005/06 season the winger was the first time the squad the first team, with which he was active in the 2nd Bundesliga henceforth. In the Bavaria of the links Sagittarius could regularly show good performance, he scored in his first season in 59 games 22 points scorer. A year later, Holzmann was able to increase his points haul again and finished the season with 37 points from 55 inserts. Due to the benefits shown some DEL scouts were aware of the then 20 year old. Finally, there were those responsible for the Hannover Scorpions, who submitted him a contract offer. Holzmann opted for the Scorpions and then moved into the German Hockey League. The attacker was then equipped with a mining license and was thus also for the cooperation partner, the REV Bremerhaven eligible to play. There, the striker spent most of the season 2007/ 08 and only came up with four DEL games. Thomas Holzmann in Hanover has a contract until 2009 and will accordingly go in the season 2008 /09 for both the Hannover Scorpions, as well as for the REV Bremerhaven on the ice. To the Game 2009/10, he signed a professional contract with the Kassel Huskies. A year later he followed his coach Stephane Richer for the Hamburg Freezers. As of November 2010, he came by parallel mining license for ETC Crimmitschau used.

Since the season 2011/12 Thomas Holzmann plays for the Iserlohn Roosters after he had terminated his contract with the Hamburg Freezers by mutual agreement. In Iserlohn, he signed a contract for two seasons.

Internationally

In November 2009, Thomas Holzmann was appointed squad for the first time in the DEB for Germany Cup - during this tournament, however, he did not play.
