Daniel Sparre

Daniel Sparre ( born October 16, 1984 in Brampton, Ontario ) is a German - Canadian professional ice hockey player who is under contract with the Red Bull EHC München of the German Ice Hockey League since the 2013/14 season.

Career

Daniel Sparre began his career in 2001 in the Ontario Provincial Junior Hockey League with the Streetsville Derbys. The following year he moved to the Victoriaville Tigres in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. After one and a half seasons, the Canadians joined with German ancestors to the league rivals Halifax Mooseheads, in which he played until 2005. In the final of the Coupe du Président 2005 Sparre lost with his team against the motion of Sidney Crosby Rimouski Océanic. Despite his successful junior time the attacker does not NHL Entry Draft was considered, which was mainly attributed to deficits in the body game. For the 2009/10 season signed a contract with Sparre the Iserlohn Roosters of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. Since the striker held German citizenship since 2009, he did not fall in the oxygen countries under the Immigration Quota. At his brother and Mads Christensen of the side he played at the beginning of the season in the third row and had already met in September 2009 in three consecutive games. Family

Daniel Sparre is the brother of Kris Sparre, who is also a professional hockey player. Together, the brothers played in the 2007/ 08 season for Columbia Inferno in the ECHL and during the 2009/10 season for the Iserlohn Roosters of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.
