Jochen Reimer

Jochen Reimer ( born September 6, 1985 in Mindelheim ) is a German professional ice hockey goaltender who is currently at Red Bull EHC München in the DEL under contract. He is the younger brother of the outer striker Patrick Reimer, who is since 2012 in the Nuremberg Ice Tigers under contract.

Career

Reimer began his career in the junior league ESV Kaufbeuren, where he played in the years between 2001 and 2003. In the 2003 / 04 season, Reimer was then in the Oberliga EA Kempten in the gate and in the season 2004/ 05 was Reimer at the Hamburg Freezers of the DEL as a backup under contract and had some inserts for the ESV Kaufbeuren in the 2nd Bundesliga, while he returned at the start of the 2005/06 season.

After a quite successful season in the 2nd Bundesliga Reimer signed with the DEG Metro Stars of the DEL a contract for the 2006/07 season and was also used from time to time by the production license for the mosquitoes eating in the 2nd Bundesliga. In his first season with the Grizzlies he knew to persuade and improved from eighth to fifth of the best goalkeepers and reached with his team - after third place in the main round - the DEL semifinals.

After the main round of 2010/11 the now 25 - year-old goalkeeper was awarded the best keeper in the DEL and confirmed its steadily rising since 2007 form curve. Reimer conceded in 29 main round matches on average just 1.95 goals per game, which is below the two- goal mark.

Since the 2011/12 season, Reimer is the gate of the Red Bull EHC Munich and was honored for the second year in a row as the best goalkeeper in the DEL.
