Thomas Oppenheimer

Thomas Oppenheimer ( born December 16, 1988 in Peissenberg ) is a German professional ice hockey player who plays for the Hamburg Freezers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga since July 2010.

Career

Oppenheimer began his career in the youth department of TSV Peißenberg. In 2005 he joined the EC Peiting and played for them in the league. Due to the benefits shown there, the winger for the season 2006 /07 was committed by the Frankfurt Lions of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, with a mining license at the same time continue to put him in Peiting. In his first two seasons in Frankfurt the right shooter came on 49 missions in which he achieved a total of twelve points scorer. For the 2007/08 season Oppenheimer received a mining license, with which he was eligible to play in addition to the Lions also at SC Riessersee from the 2nd Bundesliga. In the 2008 /09 season Oppenheimer was one of the few positive surprises in the team of the Lions. He scored four goals and had seven assists, he also extended his contract with the people of Frankfurt for another two years. In July 2010 he transferred to the insolvency of the Frankfurt Lions at the Hamburg Freezers.

Thomas Oppenheimer was first nominated for the junior national team in 2008, with whom he took part in the U20 World Youth Championship.
