Philippe Dupuis

Philippe Dupuis ( born April 24, 1985 in Laval, Quebec ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since the summer of 2013 in the Hamburg Freezers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga under contract.

Career

Philippe Dupuis was selected at the NHL Entry Draft in 2003 by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the fourth round at a total of 104 positions. With the Blue Jackets but he never came in the National Hockey League action, but played in the professional sector for their farm team, the Syracuse Crunch in the American Hockey League.

On 22 January 2008 the winger was transferred along with Darcy Campbell to the Colorado Avalanche, the Blue Jackets received in return Mark Rycroft. His first race for the team from Denver, and thus his first NHL game ever played Dupuis on 13 December 2008 against the Chicago Blackhawks. However, the majority of the NHL season 2008/ 09 spent the striker at Colorado's farm team in the AHL Lake Erie Monsters. In the following season, Dupuis played 68 games for the Monsters and four for the Avalanche, for the game against the Phoenix Coyotes, he scored his first point in the NHL on November 4, 2009.

At the beginning of the 2010/11 season, the attacker has signed a new one-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche, which was not extended at the end of the season. On July 7, 2011, Dupuis agreed on a contract for one year at the Toronto Maple Leafs.
