Tradate

Tradate is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 18,289 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the province of Varese, in the Lombardy region. The community is located about 15 kilometers southeast of Varese, about 30 kilometers north- west of Milan. By presidential decree, the municipality performs since 1958 the name ( Citta - city). It borders the province of Como. The town's name is either the name Theodorus, may also result from Teuderad as the name of a German tribe.

Parks and facilities in the city

Tradate lies to the west of the Parco Pineta di Appiano Gentile. The Observatory FOAM13 is located here. Regularly finds the so-called Iron Tradate festival with numerous heavy metal concerts.
