Vågan is a commune ( municipality) in the Fylke Nordland on the Lofoten Islands in Norway.

Location and data

In the commune Vågan 9,036 inhabitants living in an area of 477 km ². The main town is Svolvær. The municipality covers the major part of the island and the islands Austvågøy Gimsøy, Henningsvær Store Molla, Skrova and the southern part of Hinnøya as well as several small islands.
