Vatican Radio

Vatican Radio (in Italian: Radio Vaticana, RV) is an international radio station of the Holy See and has the task to carry on the activities of the Vatican, the Roman Catholic Church and in general to report on other churches and the Catholic doctrine.

History

After completion of the Lateran Treaty was begun preparations to establish their own church radio program. Vatican Radio was founded in 1931 under Pope Pius XI. The management of the station was transferred to the Jesuit order. The prime center was established at the Vatican Hill. English speaking service

Structure

Vatican Radio is headed by a Director-General who is bound by instructions to the State Secretariat. Others
