Velký Rybník

Velky Rybnik ( German United Rybnik ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers south-west of Humpolec and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Velky Rybnik is located in the valley of the creek Kopaninský in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. North of the village runs the State Road 34 / E 551 between Pelhřimov and Humpolec. To the east lies the valley of the creek Jankovský where still live freshwater pearl mussel.

Neighboring towns are Kletečná in the north, Záhoří in the northeast, Mladé Bříště in the east, and Pazderny Zachotín to the southeast, and Žirov Rybníček in the south, Útěchovičky the southwest, Onšovice in the west and Milotice and Šimonice in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the scale on an old pond instead village Rybnik Major dates from the year 1379th Velky Rybnik belonged at this time to rule Řečice and came to their division in 1454 to rule Pelhřimov. After the reunification with the rule Řečice the village part of it was 1571 again.

After the replacement of patrimonial created in 1850 the town Velky Rybnik to the 1928 nor the district Kletečná 2.díl ( Kletetschna 2 share ) and the monolayer Rousínov and Jonášův Mlýn included. In 1976, the incorporation of Dehtáře including Milotice, Vadčice and Onšovice. On 1 January 1980 Velky Rybnik was connected to Pelhřimov. Since 1990, the municipality of Velky Rybnik there again.

In the years 1939, 1966 and 1988 flood of the creek Kopaninský led to flooding in the village. After a heavy rain on 23 May 2005 Velky Rybnik was flooded again.
