History

Forest belonged to Rentamt Amberg and the district court weather field of the Electorate of Bavaria. The monastery Reichenbach could not enforce its here has always been controversial low court rights over single- subjects since the 17th century.

Mayor Hugo Bauer ( CSU), 2nd Mayor Fritz Stuber (CSU ) and third mayor Rudolf Zimmerer (CSU ).

The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of 2434 T € in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) converted in 1524 T €.

Coat of arms

Blazon: Argent, on beat three green mountain, out of the three red flames, a forth -breaking from the left shield border golden gezungter red dragon holding a green conifer rooted in the clutches. The coat of arms is in use since 1982.

Economy and infrastructure

Economy, agriculture and forestry

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in manufacturing and 334 in trade and transport, no social insurance contributions at the workplace. In other areas, 50 people were employed social insurance at the workplace. The theater group " Walder comedy barn " 2000 arose from a Stammtisch out. Group is headed by Reinhard court, which has the 10th anniversary of the play " The Right Hand of the Devil " is written.
