Zajíčkov

Zajíčkov ( German Sajitschkow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers south-east of Pelhřimov and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Zajíčkov is located in the valley of Podlesnik in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. To the east rises the Švejbory (666 m) and in the southeastern Čihalka ( 673 m). Zajíčkov is on the railway from Pelhřimov to Jindřichův Hradec, in the village there is a train station.

Neighboring towns are Pavlov and Nemojov in the north, Radňov in the northeast, Lesov in the east, Domeček, Letny Dobra Voda and the southeast, and Houserovka Rovná in the southwest and Rynárec in the northwest.

History

The first mention of the reign Řečice originally belonging to the village is from the year 1203. Until the 16th century the place still belonged to the dominions Nová Cerekev and Nová Buková before he arrived in 1592 to Pelhřimov. There he remained until the replacement of patrimonial regimes in 1850. Subsequently Zajíčkov gained independence and formed with the district Rovná a community.

In 1976 the village was incorporated into Rynárec and on 1 January 1980 together with it after Pelhřimov. Since 1990, the community is Zajíčkov again.

The municipality consists of the villages Zajíčkov Rovná ( Równa ) and Zajíčkov ( Sajitschkow ).
